Basford, Newcastle-under-Lyme
EHP Ltd were instructed by the client to design a contemporary extension and reorganise internal spaces to create a modern and light family living space.
Located off a private road in Newcastle-under-Lyme and surrounded by trees, the location is great but the internal spaces were dark and small with no real connection to the outside space.
Separate kitchen and living rooms were connected and a new extension added with high ceilings, bifold doors and roof lantern. The tall bifold doors increased the light and lifted the eye line so the user took in more of the surrounding trees, whilst also connecting the internal living spaces with the newly landscaped garden.
